Columbia resident Adam T. Rubin was arrested and faces at least 10 charges in connection to a months-long investigation into Maryland residents who possess and share illicit materials online.
On Thursday, the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit, with assistance from the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant at Rubin's Prince George's County home, where they arrested him.
A subsequent review of his electronic devices led to the discovery of multiple images of child pornography, according to police.
Rubin was charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography. He is being held at the Prince George's County Detention Center pending an initial appearance with a District Court Commissioner.
